On January 13, Mihály Varga, the Hungarian Minister of Finance, announced that the Hungarian government has invested 50 billion forints (139 million euros) in the healthcare industry over the past five months.
The minister added that, in addition to creating opportunities for domestic manufacturers to enter foreign markets, state support is primarily aimed at increasing the production of medical gloves, masks, medicines, disinfectants, ventilators, medical instruments in the country, as well as increasing the level of self-sufficiency of Hungary with personal protective equipment.
